Executive Director
Amy Kenney has spent more than 20 years working at the intersection of science, policy, advocacy and communications around our planet’s most challenging ocean conservation issues.
Prior to serving as Executive Director of the NOPC, Amy led the Fisheries Leadership & Sustainability Forum at Duke’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions as its Inaugural Director. In addition, she worked at the Pew Oceans Commission as the Director for Marine Conservation Policy, specializing in fisheries, marine aquaculture and marine protected area policy. Amy also served as a management coordinator at the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.
Amy lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her family. She takes every opportunity to enjoy nature - from tending to her backyard garden and hiking in neighborhood parks, to any activity in, around and under water.
