Oceana | Policy Intern

The Policy Intern will work closely with Oceana’s federal policy team in support of Oceana’s campaigns in the United States. The intern will assist in advocating for policies to end offshore oil drilling, reduce plastic pollution, protect whales and other marine mammals, promote responsible fisheries management, and deter illegal fishing through transparency. Responsibilities will include policy research; attending congressional hearings and internal strategy sessions; tracking legislation; assisting with outreach to Congress, the Administration, and stakeholders; and helping to organize Capitol Hill events and lobby days.

Sachamama | Director of Operations

As a Director of Operations, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all organizational processes to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality. This includes managing resources, implementing best practices, and streamlining workflows across departments. You will work closely with the Executive Director to develop and execute strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives and contribute to advancing the overall mission of the organization in collaboration with the Sachamama family.

Sachamama | Program Manager

As an Online Learning and Educational Technology Manager, you’ll lead, develop, and measure program goals, activities, and outcomes of The Climate Innovation Hub online platform. You will design training programs and instructional materials, evaluate, and recommend innovated concepts, technologies, and delivery modes of online content, ensure the quality of online resources, develop strategies to ensure student retention, and contribute to advancing the overall mission of the organization in collaboration with the Sachamama family.

Oceana | Field Representative, Southern California

Oceana’s Field Team works in strategic states to reduce plastic pollution, fight the expansion of offshore drilling, protect the North Atlantic Right Whale, promote responsible fishing practices, fight illegal fishing, and defend core environmental laws like the Magnuson-Stevens Act. This position will primarily focus on building support for local, state, and federal policies in southern California. We win by engaging municipalities, business leaders, communities and the public to protect and restore the oceans.

Oceana | Field Representative, Carolinas

You will work closely with other field staff and a team of professionals in Washington, DC to build on-the-ground support for fighting plastic pollution and expanded offshore drilling. Our Field Team is a dynamic group of passionate campaigners who lead efforts to influence policymakers in their states and regions. We put a premium on collaborating with coalition partners, volunteers, supporters, and allies, and strive to inspire the public to take action in a challenging and often discouraging political environment.

Oceana | Field Representative, Washington State

A field representative is a campaigner who will be able to leverage existing networks and build new connections throughout Washington State to support Oceana’s campaigns and build a network of ocean advocates across the state. This position requires candidates who are politically savvy, results-driven, and have experience building and leveraging power in Washington State. We are looking for someone who can effectively advocate for our campaign priorities at all levels of government.

Environment America | Environment Washington Conservation Advocate

Environment America is seeking a Conservation Advocate to run our campaigns to conserve and protect our forests and key ocean ecosystems off our coast, defend the wildlife that call them home, move beyond single use plastics and promote clean energy solutions. The Conservation Advocate will lead our efforts to protect the places that make Washington a special place to live. This position requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions in matters of significance.
