IUCN | Senior Policy Officer, United States

The US Policy Officer will contribute to the overall policy positioning of the Union through the development, reinforcement and implementation of IUCN's strategic relationships with the United States government. IUCN’s government agency members include US State Department, USAID, Department of Interior (USFS and NPS), Bureau of Oceans, Energy and Management, and NOAA. This position will also contribute to strengthening IUCN’s collaboration with the US government and NGO members through regular consultation and discussion regarding IUCN’s views and perspectives around priority issues in international policy engagement - including but not limited to the United Nations and the Rio Conventions as well as in its Programme. Areas of thematic emphasis include protected areas, landscape scale management, nature-based solutions and finance, climate change, and species conservation, among others. A critical component of the role relates to helping to secure and mobilize resources and budget allocations in support of international biodiversity conservation.

PIRG | Legislative Advocate

PIRG | Maryland PIRG State Director

As our state director, you’ll work with the national program team at PIRG to advance and build public support for policies that improve the quality of our health, our environment, and our well-being. This position requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions in matters of significance. Current priorities are PFAS, democracy, and clean, efficient energy.

PIRG | Toxics Campaign Director

The Toxics Campaign Director will coordinate and work with our federal staff and state offices across the country to run campaigns that call on our decision makers to lead us toward a toxic-free future by passing federal and statewide bans on some of the most toxic chemicals; educating the public and decision-makers about the health and environmental hazards of these chemicals; promoting safer alternatives; and convincing corporations to eliminate the production or use of toxics in their products.  This position requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions in matters of significance.

Environment America | Campaign Associate

Campaign Associates will work on campaigns to oppose drilling in our oceans, protect mature and old-growth forests, organize for 100% renewable energy, and protect the water we drink and the air we breathe by holding polluters accountable. Campaign Associates will work on one national campaign or work on state campaigns with one of our state organizations.

Environment America | Federal Legislative Advocate

Environment America’s Federal Legislative Advocate will work to advance our policy goals in Washington, DC. This position requires excellent judgment and discretion and the ability to oversee significant projects. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: advocacy, coalition building, fundraising, media and communication, campaign strategy, and staff recruitment and management. A successful candidate will have excellent writing and public speaking skills; at least two years of professional full time experience in organizing, advocacy, campaigning or legislative work; be a solid team player; and have the passion and grit to do what it takes to get the work done.

Restore America’s Estuaries | Program Associate, Long Island Sound Community Impact Fund

In 2022, the Long Island Sound Study (LISS) launched a multi-million-dollar program to address environmental justice concerns impacting underserved communities in the Long Island Sound (LIS) region. This position will primarily support LISCIF’s Community Engagement goals (90%) but may also assist other projects within the organization (10%).

Restore America’s Estuaries | Vice President, Program Administration and Finance

As Restore America’s Estuaries continues to grow, they are looking to add a collaborative, forward looking senior leader to continuously improve operations, grant management and organizational performance. They have a long track record of clean audits and compliance with all federal regulations and procurement processes.  This role will manage two grant administrators, an outsourced accounting firm, and an outsourced IT firm and reports to the President.

Restore America’s Estuaries | Grants Administrator

RAE administers multiple competitive grant programs with federal, corporate, and non-profit partners and funders. The Grants Administrator works with other RAE staff to provide fiscal and administrative oversight and management of grants awarded by RAE, and to ensure consistent processes and adherence to all relevant regulations, with particular emphasis on federal. The Grants Administrator will ensure that RAE’s grant-making and related processes, documents, procedures, and implementation are executed professionally, efficiently, on schedule, and in a manner consistent with best practices and all relevant regulations. This position can be located either remotely or in the DC Metro area but must have experience and proficiency working virtually with remote staff in multiple locations.

Next 100 Coalition | Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is responsible for leading the communications strategy for the Next 100 Coalition. The Communications Manager will proactively generate attention for the Next 100 Coalition, and work alongside staff to write and edit news releases, statements, columns, articles, posts, emails and briefs. Other responsibilities include developing messaging that defines the Next 100 brand, advances fundraising, and builds relationships with partner organizations to help Next 100 expand their reach and impact.

League of Conservation Voters Education Fund | Public Lands Fellow

The League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (LCVEF) is hiring a Public Lands Fellow who will work with the Conservation Program Director and our network of 30+ state affiliates, collectively called the Conservation Voters Movement (CVM), to advance protections for public lands, including via new national monument designation campaigns. We believe in investing in young professionals passionate about protecting public lands and commit to providing mentorship, conservation network, and a rich professional development experience.

Conservation Law Foundation | Senior Attorney – Ocean Conservation

Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a Senior Attorney to join our team working to protect New England’s environment for all people. The Senior Attorney will work with CLF’s Ocean Conservation team and will be based in one of the following CLF regional offices: Concord or Portsmouth, NH; Portland, ME; Providence, RI; or Boston, MA, with opportunity for remote work within New England. The Senior Attorney will work to advance the Ocean Conservation Program’s priorities and to promote solutions to the region’s biggest environmental challenges using litigation, policy, and legislative advocacy. Under the Ocean Conservation Program, the work will focus on sustainable fisheries management, ocean habitat protection, marine mammal protection and ocean planning.

As a Director of Operations, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all organizational processes to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality. This includes managing resources, implementing best practices, and streamlining workflows across departments.
